Description

Join National Park Service rangers welcome the New Year with an afternoon of free family fun.

Noon - 2:00 Meet live "Birds of Prey" and the birds of the Boston Harbor Islands from The Trailside Museum of Milton

Noon - 2:00 Sarah Hoagland Hunter, the author of "The Lighthouse Santa" and Julia Miner, the illustrator will be signing the wonderful children's books based on the Christmas flights of Edward Rowe Snow, hero to lighthouse children for almost fifty years. Books will be for sale at the Pavilion gift store.

1:00 - 2:30 New Year's Eve Ranger Cruise: Ranger led tour of the Boston Harbor visit bostonsbestcruises.com for tickets

2:00 - 4:00 Music of the Civil War with 1860's era fife and drummer.

3:00 - 4:30 New Year's Eve Ranger Cruise: Ranger led tour of the Boston Harbor visit bostonsbestcruises.com for tickets

4:00 - 6:00 Opening of the Rose Kennedy Greenway's public art installation "Winter Lights" at the Pavilion with "Lighthouse" and video displays.

On-going raffles, hula hooping and meet the Rangers of the Boston Harbor Islands.
