Boston Light Tour

PARK CALENDAR

Description

Don't miss this unforgettable tour of the oldest lighthouse station in the country.

Join a National Park Service ranger for one of the most enjoyable tours the park has to offer. On your voyage out to Little Brewster Island, home of Boston Light, you will pass by many islands that comprise the national park area, learn about maritime history and traditions, and get a view of three lighthouses.

Step directly from the boat into the past. Boston Light Station was established in 1716 and is the oldest, continuously used light station, and the last staffed by a United States Coast Guard light keeper. Visitors will have spectacular views from the island, and also have the opportunity to climb the 76 steps (and 2 ladders) for an up-close look at the 2nd order Fresnel lens.

So bring family and friends, a packed lunch, and relax as you enjoy being on "island time".
